Carry out or promote research into:

·             health issues for individual animals,

·             population studies

·             habitat (environment) needs and health

·             biodiversity.

WAIF has very stringent regulations on research involving animals and is strongly against any research which requires the deliberate harming of the health of an individual animal for research.

WAIF promotes research through assistance and project listing.

The Project List is a database of desirable research projects.  These have been suggested by carers, vets and others working with wildlife.  Anyone, e.g. a post graduate student, looking for a meaningful project may contact WAIF for a copy of the list.

Assistance may be in many forms, e.g. grant, loan of equipment, use of facilities, access to expertise or training in wildlife.
